The best hospital technology for me is the electronic medical record. Because of this, the nurses’ works became more immediate and efficient since they won’t be spending too much time on documenting on their charts and will be able to focus their attention to their patients. Electronic medical record also allows fast communication of cases  between health care practitioner. From the different fields of medicine, the information will be disseminated fast and decision making will be in advance and it will be done cautiously. Since, electronic medical records made its debut on different hospital facilities, patients are more watched carefully and their needs are attended, pronto.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of future innovations in nursing profession? 

With  the new innovations that is up to come, a few advantages will be a more efficient nursing practice. It allows the person to be more analytical and critical in the way he thinks and the person can also be able to collaborate well and find more partnerships in the way they handle their cases. It can also stress on a more long-term thinking and be able to provide a multi-level nursing intervention that can be of great help to our in need patients. This can also enhance and emphasize on the cultural perspective of an individual about a certain case or a certain trend and it can open the eyes of the people to reality. One disadvantage that I could think of was how dependent an individual may be if these innovations come.

Nursing education involves a lot of processes wherein one needs to make a research, a study or even as simple as a power point presentation of a certain case of  a patient or a newly reported disease. Through right citation and proper entry of reference and bibliography, we could promote copyright and fair use. We should never forget the resources that we have because even though not all those resources are used in the paper or report we are making, somehow, we are able to get something out of it and thus, as respect to the author, we should give some credits to the information that we have obtained. This could help not only the authorized writer but can open the minds of every one to give some credits to everything that they have. It could be a better world if all respects the rights of everyone.

Performing information extraction in our studies allows us to be able to comply with the requirements from our different subjects. It also stands as the basis or the support for our research work and different case studies. Information extraction really played a very good role in our life as nursing students. Which do you prefer: web resources or the book?

If I were to choose between web resources and book, I think I will prefer web resources more. Since, the internet is updating everyday, the information is also filled in and information is easily available. But, I am not saying that books are  less efficient. It’s just that, in the trending time, the web is much more accessible. Although the data obtained is not always accurate, it is still on the hands of the reader to be critical on choosing the information. Filtering is really important especially data from the internet. Books on the other hand is helpful if given with a specific topic. It provides you direct information about what you are researching about. In the end, the web and the book are really very important sources of information in the nursing profession.

What is the significance of knowing the different internet terms and protocol?

Knowing the different internet terms and protocol can make an individual well-informed on how the internet works. He will not be ignorant and may be able to use the services of the internet more efficiently. The person may be able to work proficiently on chats if he know the abbreviations and the purposes of these different terms.
